Paint protection coatings are a durable and effective way of protecting your car. The soft paints that are currently used for environmental reasons are very susceptible to any scratches that may occur even during the washing process. For this reason, ceramic coatings began to be used in order to effectively protect the paintwork. Such a coating provides effective protection for up to 5 years. It is worth mentioning that ceramic coating also has many other advantages:
- protects against weather conditions /li>
- gives extraordinary glassiness
- enhances the depth of the paintwork
- greatly facilitates car care/li>
- significantly reduces dirt accumulation
Many a driver has sleepless nights over the question of how to take care of the paintwork of their car. Despite all the efforts, it is difficult to keep the car paintwork in perfect condition. An effective solution is ceramic coating. The application of the coating and its effect still raise a number of questions; therefore we will answer each of them today.
Let us start with what a ceramic coating is. These are preparations that are used to protect the car.
Ceramic coating –the major advantages
First of all, it is a long-lasting protection for the paintwork. Once applied, the coating lasts for up to several years. Car wax, which is also a popular way of protecting paintwork, lasts much shorter, just a few months. The second undeniable advantage is the very high degree of hardness. Thanks to this, the ceramic coating effectively protects the paintwork against minor scratches, damage and the effects of e.g. acid rain, UV radiation and tree sap. The presence of the coating does not make the paint indestructible, but it does make it significantly less susceptible to scratches
Ceramic coating – how it works
A ceramic coating forms a protective layer that gives an amazing glassy effect. The car often looks better than on the day it left the showroom. And it will look better even in everyday use. The effect of the ceramic coating is that it prevents intensive adhesion of dirt and insects. A ceramic coating is also hydrophobic, which means that it repels water molecules which can be seen in the form of large drops instantly dripping off the surface.
How is a ceramic coating applied?
This is a time-consuming and complicated process so it is a good idea to leave it to our specialists at VCentrum. Before a ceramic coating is applied onto a car, the car must first be thoroughly washed and the paintwork degreased. More importantly, however, the paintwork must be free of any scratches, even the smallest ones. It is therefore necessary to polish the paintwork, which is a time-consuming operation requiring knowledge, experience and the necessary tools which are at the disposal of our Detailing Department at VCentrum.
This type of protection can also be applied to other components, such as the rims, the lamps or the windows of the car. Seals, plastic parts and chrome-plated parts can also be protected with a coat. This is the way to achieve comprehensive protection for the entire car so as to be able to enjoy a beautiful and fresh appearance of each component, not only the paint. Auto detailing – car spa I ul.
