As of today, the removal of dents in a car is carried out without the need for painting. Car paintwork is becoming increasingly soft on the one hand, but flexible on the other. This makes it possible to push out dents using the PDR method (paintless dent removal), i.e. quickly and non-invasively. This means that individual body parts, such as bonnets (hoods), wheel arches and bumpers can now be repaired without a new coat of paint.
You can have eyes in the back of your head, and yet scuffs or dents to the bodywork are inevitable. Contrary to appearances, it is now possible to remove this type of damage very efficiently. The removal of dents is also carried out without unnecessary formalities. The PDR method is an interesting alternative which makes it possible to carry out bodywork repairs without visiting an automotive painter. Today we reveal what dent removal looks like at our service centre.
Until recently, the removal of dents caused by hail or accidental impact was associated with a long process of repair. The affected part of the car, such as the bonnet, had to be dismantled and then sent for repair. The next stage was painting. Never mind the cost, but dent removal, although a minor damage, involved a long wait for the car. And with a bit of bad luck, you can experience this trouble with dent removal even several times a year.
Dent removal without painting

And this means you can avoid many questions about the car’s history when selling it.
What does it look like?
In the PDR method, dents formed e.g. on car doors are pushed out in a non-invasive manner. The process, which is carried out using special tools, allows dents of various sizes to be removed. The process requires a high degree of intuition, accuracy and the presence of a very strong source of light to help prevent any creases on the bodywork from being overlooked. This is why it is not advisable to carry out this type of repair on your own.
As for the duration of such an operation, it depends on the size of the dent to be removed. However, this does not change the fact that this method is much cheaper than traditional repair of body components and does not expose the car owner to loss of value.
